JOVRNALISM was created by USC Annenberg Professor Robert Hernandez in the summer of 2015 (trademarked in 2016) and has been taught every semester since, producing award-winning, innovative non-fiction experiences.
This project is a hackathon-style course where students from different backgrounds collaborate to decide how to apply an emerging technology to a story/theme, often in partnership with a media company.

Professor Hernandez and JOVRNALISM alums were invited to present their work at the Doha Forum in Qatar. In addition to demoing their work, they took their cameras as they explored the desert country.
